What Stackfetti collects

We collect information founders submit, account email addresses, campaign and payment references, moderation history, and product analytics needed to operate the directory.

Traffic measurement

We do not retain raw IP addresses in the advertiser ledger. A monthly rotating, salted hash of IP address and user agent estimates unique visitors and detects duplicates. We store path, aggregate referrer host, approximate country supplied by Cloudflare, device class, event type, and verification result. Rejected activity is excluded before durable reporting; a small deterministic sample may remain in short-lived diagnostic telemetry.

Service providers

Stripe processes payment details; Stackfetti stores provider IDs, amounts, status, and expiry - not card numbers. Resend processes transactional email delivery. Cloudflare hosts the application and first-party measurement data. When enabled, EU-hosted Vemetric independently measures cookie-free web and product usage. Their policies apply to data they process.

Purpose and retention

We use data to publish listings, secure accounts, deliver and audit advertising, prevent abuse, provide founder reports, and meet financial obligations. Financial records follow applicable retention requirements. Pseudonymous visitor-day records and referrer details are automatically removed after 35 days; verified delivery records and public daily aggregates are retained for up to 400 days. Expired sessions and magic links are routinely removed. Vemetric retention depends on the selected plan and is disclosed in its dashboard.

This operational draft must be reviewed for the business entity and jurisdictions actually serving the product. Insert the legal entity, address, subprocessors, lawful bases, and complaint authority before production launch.
